HST Referendum 2011 & Canada Post
Elections BC is administering the HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) Referendum – June 13 – July 22, 2011. The vote will be conducted by mail-in ballot. “Canada Post has informed Elections BC that postal employees have been locked out as of 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011.
Elections BC is continuing production of the HST Referendum Voting Packages to the effect that there should be no delay in getting the packages to registered voters once Canada Post service resumes. Canada Post has assured Elections BC that the voting packages in the mail system presently will be securely stored until postal service resumes.

July 8 | Last day to register to vote and request an HST Referendum Voting Package |
July 22 | Close of voting – All ballot packages must be received by Elections BC, a Service BC Centre or an Elections BC Collection Centre before 4:30 p.m. |
